She draws upon her background and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness training and mind-body therapies (yoga, somatic experiencing, meditation). Elizabeth also enjoys incorporating Art and Play therapy into her work with children and adolescents.

Areas of practice that Elizabeth focuses on include: depression, anxiety, women’s issues, prenatal and postpartum issues, parenting and family concerns, relationship concerns, the LGBT population, healing from trauma, and issues facing children and adolescents such as learning difficulties, attention problems, bullying, low self-esteem, sleep difficulties, and self-harm behaviors.

Elizabeth especially enjoys integrating clients’ spirituality and religious faith into therapy when it is desired by the individual. She has worked with people and families from a wide diversity of religious, spiritual, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys hiking and kayaking, swimming, painting and drawing, playing music and singing, gardening and hanging out with her kids and family.
